(AP) ? DC Entertainment says it will unveil a new ongoing series focusing on Superman and Batman, two of the publisher's best-known and revered heroes.

"Batman/Superman" is set to debut in June and will be written Greg Pak and illustrated by Jae Lee. It will focus on how the two iconic heroes first met in the publisher's relaunched universe, dubbed The New 52.

Pak says DC is giving he and Lee "some real leeway to do some really important storytelling" in the series that will give readers the opportunity to delve deep into the characters, their interaction and the effects on the wider New 52 universe.

The two characters have been a part of DC since the late 1930s.

PlayStation 4 Announced: PC-based AMD Hardware Inside

Sony takes a page from the PC for its next-gen gaming system.

As expected, Sony used its PlayStation 'See the Future' event to show off the next generation of PlayStation, also known as the PlayStation 4. In a radical departure from the rather "unique" system designs that Sony's employed in the past, PS4 seems to be largely designed around existing PC technology.

Sony says that the PS4 has been in development for five years, which is a bit surprising as the PS4 is based on x86 architecture with 8 cores, an integrated GPU, and 8GB of shared GDDR5 RAM. Sony used the word APU, which gives us pretty good confirmation that it's AMD inside. The graphical portion of the APU is said to deliver almost 2 TFLOPS of performance. The 8GB of unified memory is shared between the CPU and GPU and supplies over 170GB/s of bandwidth.

For storage, Sony is relying on a "large" local HDD, so it seems that capacity is preferred over an SSD's speed. There's also a brand new DualShock 4 controller with a curvier shape, enhanced rumble capabilities, a touchpad, a share button, and a headphone jack.

UPDATE2: AMD has published a blog talking a little bit more about its involvement with the PS4. Details are very light, but we'll let you know when we have more.

Console hardware and controller aside, PS4 is going to be a pretty different experience compared to the PS3. For one, users will be able to broadcast their gaming to their friends who can post comments and offer help on how to get past particularly challenging portions of the game. PS4 will also allow you to play games as you download them and a feature called Remote Play will enable PS4 games on PS Vita (Sony this evening demonstrated Knack on PS4 and streamed to PS Vita). PS1, PS2, and PS3 games will be supported in that they'll be streamed from the cloud.

No pricing yet, and the only word in availability is "Holiday 2013." We don't even know what the console itself looks like, so there's still plenty more to come.

Lourdes University?appointed?their new president during a ceremony Wednesday morning.

David J. Livingston, PhD,?will move?from his position?as vice president for advancement at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Penn. to?the role of Lourdes'?9th President . The university says Livingston was?unanimously?selected?after a search that?drew?candidates from 24 states and Canada.?

Livingston has been in his current position with Mercyhurst University since 2008, and has served the institution in various capacities since 1997. Prior to joining the Mercyhurst community, he taught religious studies at both the high school and college level in Illinois and Tennessee.

?Though we had a talented group of candidates in our presidential search, Dr. Livingston?s experience in education truly resonated with our community,? said Sr. Mary Jon Wagoner, Congregational Minister for the Sisters of St. Francis. ?His understanding of both the traditional and non-traditional student population, and accomplishments in institutional growth are what ultimately made him the best fit as Lourdes? new President.?

Livingston will begin his role as president on July 1, with an inauguration planned during the 2013-2014 academic year.

(AP) ? Indian police investigating a dual bomb attack that killed 15 people outside a movie theater and a bus station in the southern city of Hyderabad were searching for links to a shadowy Islamic militant group with reported ties to Pakistan, an official said Friday.

Officials were examining whether the Indian Mujahideen, which is thought to have a link with militants in neighboring Pakistan, might have carried out the attack, an investigator told The Associated Press, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to reveal details of the probe. India's recent execution of an Islamic militant is being examined as a possible motive for the bombings, he said.

Police have not yet detained anyone in connection with Thursday evening's attacks, the first major terror bombings in India since 2011.

According to a New Delhi police report, two suspected militants belonging to the Indian Mujahideen group who were arrested last year, said during questioning that they had done a reconnaissance of Dilsukh Nagar district in Hyderabad where the blasts occurred. They had also visited various spots in New Delhi, Mumbai and Pune.

Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde said there was a general alert about the possibility of an attack somewhere in India for the past three days. "But there was no specific intelligence about a particular place," he said as he toured the site Friday morning.

The bombs were attached to two bicycles about 150 meters (500 feet) apart in Hyderabad's Dilsukh Nagar district, Shinde said. He said in addition to the dead, 119 others were injured.

The bombs exploded minutes apart in a crowded shopping area. The blasts shattered storefronts, scattered food and plates from roadside restaurants and left tangles of dead bodies. Passersby rushed the wounded to hospitals.

"This is a dastardly attack; the guilty will not go unpunished," Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said. He appealed to the public to remain calm.

Top state police officer V. Dinesh Reddy said improvised explosive devices with nitrogen compound were used in the blasts, which he blamed on a "terrorist network."

On Friday morning, police with cameras, gloves and plastic evidence bags used pointers to gingerly look through the debris. Officials from the National Investigation Agency and commandos of the National Security Guards arrived from New Delhi to help with the investigation.

India has been under a heightened state of alert over the hanging of Mohammed Afzal Guru, a Kashmiri militant nearly two weeks ago. He was executed for his involvement in a 2001 attack on India's Parliament that killed 14 people, including five of the gunmen.

Since the execution, near-daily protests have rocked Indian-ruled Kashmir, where many people believe Guru did not receive a fair trial. Anger in a region where anti-India sentiment runs deep was further fueled by the secrecy with which the execution was carried out.

Mahesh Kumar, a 21-year-old student, was heading home from a tutoring class when one of the bombs went off.

"I heard a huge sound and something hit me, I fell down, and somebody brought me to the hospital," said Kumar, who suffered shrapnel wounds.

Hyderabad, a city of 10 million in the state of Andhra Pradesh, is a hub of India's information technology industry and has a mixed population of Muslims and Hindus.

"This (attack) is to disturb the peaceful living of all communities in Andhra Pradesh," said Kiran Kumar Reddy, the state's chief minister.

The explosions were the first major terror attack in since a September 2011 blast outside the High Court in New Delhi killed 13 people. The government has been heavily criticized for its failure to arrest the masterminds behind previous bombings.

The attack was the second bombing in the Hindu-dominated area, following a 2000 blast outside a Hindu temple that killed two people. In 2007, a twin bombing killed 40 people in two other Hyderabad districts.

The United States, whose Secretary of State John Kerry was meeting Thursday in Washington with Indian Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai, condemned the attack.

"The United States stands with India in combating the scourge of terrorism and we also prepared to offer any and all assistance Indian authorities may need," State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland told a news briefing.

Rana Banerji, a former security official, said India remains vulnerable to such attacks because there is poor coordination between the national government and the states. Police reforms are also moving very slowly and the quality of intelligence gathering is poor, he said.

"The concept of homeland security should be made effective, on a war footing," he said.
