(WTVM)- September is national College Savings Month, and Georgia is joining states nationwide to encourage families to prepare financially for higher education expenses.?
To get families thinking about financial planning, while at the same time encouraging a love of learning and creativity among children, the Path2College 529 Plan? is once again holding a statewide coloring sweepstakes.?
Georgia children in Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade can color Hootie the Wise Old Owl, and complete the sentence, "When I graduate, I'm going to be a ____." ? The deadline to enter is September 30, 2012.?
The winner of the sweepstakes will win $1,529 for his or her college savings, and the winner's school will win $1,000.
Coloring sheets and official rules can be found at www.Path2College529.com. Entries must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian, post-marked by 9/30/12, and must be received by 10/5/12.
